Based on its input, ChatGPT can generate human-sounding material such as speeches, music, marketing copy, news pieces, and student essays.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will be in charge of conducting the next board exams for classes 10 and 12, and according to remarks made by officials on Tuesday, the use of artificial intelligence-based chatbots like ChatGPT would not be authorized in those tests (CBSE).
Wednesday, February 15, is the day that will mark the beginning of the board exams for grades 10 and 12, respectively.

It was mentioned in the instructions that were sent by the board in advance of the tests that “Mobile, ChatGPT, and other electronic devices would not be authorized in the test hall.” These items were prohibited from being brought into the testing area.

The officials from the board have said that using ChatGPT while taking the test will be the same as using unfair strategies.

“The testing center has a strict policy that students are not allowed to bring any kind of electronic device inside the building at any time. This addresses the usage of hardware in order to get access to ChatGPT, preventing dishonest means from being used “a high-ranking member of the board’s staff said.

The ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer), which was first made available to the public in November 2022, has the capacity to generate text that is eerily similar to that produced by humans based on the information that it is given. The potential to produce music, speeches, marketing text, news items, and student essays is included in this category.

The brand new artificial intelligence (AI) system, which is currently being referred to as a large language model (LLM), is being created to generate writing that is human-like by anticipating incoming word sequences. The LLM is being designed to create writing that is human-like.

The outcomes of the analysis indicate that ChatGPT, unlike other types of chatbots, is not able to search the internet for information.

On the admittance ticket to the test, there is a cautionary note that says as follows: “You should refrain from participating in any kind of dishonest conduct at all costs. If this is found out, you will be charged with participating in Unfair Means Activity (UFM), and disciplinary action will be taken against you in line with the laws of the board. If this is found out, you will be charged with engaging in UFM.” “You should not place any stock in the videos and remarks that are uploaded on social media since they are fake and should be disregarded as such. Also, refrain from engaging in the practice of spreading rumors. You face the possibility of being accused of infringing the rules on unfair techniques and having such charges brought against you “it said.

The usage of ChatGPT was formerly forbidden at a number of academic institutions, including Sciences Po in France, which is one of those academic institutions. The use of artificial intelligence chatbots has reportedly been banned at a number of public schools in New York City and Seattle, according to reports from media sources in the United States. At the same time, a number of educational institutions in the United States have disclosed their plans to conduct fewer take-home assessments and a greater number of oral and hand-written essay tests.
