WhatsApp backups are now end-to-end encrypted. WhatsApp announced the rollout of encrypted backups via a Blog. post.
From now on all the Backups on WhatsApp are now encrypted. WhatsApp is providing an Option to Encrypt the Backups stored on Google Drive and iCloud. WhatsApp is rolling out this feature to both Android and iOS users.
Not only that users can also Protect their Backups with a Password or a 64-digit encryption key.
So all the Backups on WhatsApp will be now more secured with WhatsApp’s new encryption feature. This feature will slowly the users with the latest version of WhatsApp.
