The national health system or the NHS of our country is not a robust system that is neither good nor bad. When compared to other countries like the US and UK. The role of the NHS is to make sure all the people in the country receive good treatment and better health for a happy life. But it was very much neglected due to the development of our country. But that is going to change due to the introduction of digital India which has been very rapidly growing due to the availability of the internet to each and everyone citizen.
To help the NHS of India our Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Ayushman Bharat Digital mission on 27-09-2021. Under this scheme, our health system will get a big uplift in order to give better treatment to our citizens.
What is Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission…?
So what is Ayushman Bharat Digital’s mission you may ask? Turns let’s get to know this shall we. So this project’s main objective is to provide a unique digital health ID that can store all the past medical data and their reports so that the doctors can treat the patients accordingly and in turn reducing the mishaps caused by incorrect information passed by the patients.
This project was first launched in India on 15 August 2020 at Red fort by our prime minister under the name of National Digital Health Mission. In layman’s terms, it is similar to a bank account where instead of storing money we keep our health records and these can be accessed anytime after the respective person’s consent. This project also aims to help doctors, hospitals, and healthcare service providers in ease of doing business as well as interoperability between the digital health ecosystems.
