YouTube Premium’s Student plan remains the cheapest way to watch ad-free videos, even though the monthly price has been hiked by Rs. 10.
In India, the cost of YouTube Premium, the platform owned by Google that offers ad-free premium subscriptions, has increased. Due to this modification, all subscription plans individual, family, and student now have significantly higher prices. Certain plans have slight price increases, whereas others have substantial price increases. It is presently unknown if the streaming service would provide current users a grace period before requiring them to pay the new monthly membership fee.
Particularly, YouTube Premium customers enjoy features like picture-in-picture (PiP) mode, uninterrupted high-definition video streaming, and the option to view videos or listen to music in the background.
The price of YouTube Premium has increased in India.
The new YouTube Premium pricing is already available on the company’s website. It applies to both prepaid and recurring subscription plans. The monthly Individual plan, which allows users to access YouTube material for one user, is now Rs. 149 per month, up from Rs. 129 per month.
Meanwhile, consumers who choose the Family plan would now pay Rs. 299 per month. This service, which allows up to five people access to YouTube Premium, was previously priced at Rs. 189.
Despite the price increase, YouTube Premium’s Student plan remains the most affordable option to view ad-free films. However, it has experienced a modest price increase from Rs. 79 to Rs. 89 each month.
Prepaid plan prices have been updated in a similar manner. Notably, prepaid YouTube Premium memberships are not automatically renewed. All of the YouTube Premium plans and their changed costs are shown here.

New users may sign up for a one-month trial of either an Individual, Family, or Student YouTube Premium plan to sample all of its perks before subscribing in the streaming service, at which point they will be required to pay the revised YouTube Premium costs.
